The 10th Huxiang Culture Tour Kicks off in Changsha

The 10th Huxiang Culture Tour unveiled its curtain at Hunan University on the morning of November 28. Over 110 teachers and students from more than 10 universities of Taiwan participated in the 12-day culture exchange activity. Yuan Jianyao, assistant governor of Hunan Province, and Gan Luze, head of the visiting delegation, attended the opening ceremony.

Hosted by the Taiwan Affairs Office of Hunan Province, the 12-day tour started on November 25. It aims to strengthen exchanges between college students of Hunan and Taiwan and enhance Taiwan young people's understanding of Hunan and Chinese culture. Teachers and students from over 10 colleges and universities of Taiwan including National Yunlin University of Science & Technology, Tatung Institute of Commerce and Technology, Yuan Ze University, TransWorld University, National Sun Yat-sen University and Chinese Culture Universtity took part in the activity.

During the 12-day tour, a series of activities will be launched. Taiwan's teachers and students will communicate with their Hunan counterparts and listen to the lecture on Hunan culture. They will also visit toursit attractions such as Yuelu Academy, Yueyang Tower, Hunan Provincial Museum, and Changsha Bamboo and Wooden Slips Museum to deeply experience Hunan culture, Besides, they will tour Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang Ancient Town to appreciate the grand landscape of the motherland.
