Third Confucius Institute of Hunan University Founded in Colorado
The Agreement Signing Ceremony for the Confucius Institute jointly built by Hunan University and Colorado State University was held on March 20. This is the third Confucius institute Hunan University has established succeeding those at Honam University in South Korea and at University of Regina in Canada.
On that day, Xu Lin, director of the China National Office for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, secretary-general of the head office of the Confucius Institutes and counselor of the State Council, and Vice President of Colorado State University Jim Cooney, on behalf of the two sides respectively, signed the agreement. Vice President of Hunan University Chen Shou attended the ceremony as well.
