12th CJUMP Held in Changsha

The 12th China-Japan International Conference on Ultra-Precision Machining Process (CJUMP) was held in Changsha from November 4 to 6, 2016. Top researchers and academics from China and Japan discussed about the cutting-edge theory, technology and applications in such areas of precision engineering, micro engineering, and nano-technology.

HNU Vice President Liu Jinshui addresses the opening ceremony.

Prof. Yin Shaohui from HNU College of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering, also chairman of this CJUMP Committee, presidesd over the opening ceremony.

The conference aimed to encourage ultra-precision machining technology exchange between China and Japan. Attendees probed into latest research progress and technological updates in several topics: single point diamond turning, ultra-precision grinding technology, high speed and high efficiency machining, ultra-precision machine design, coolant and cooling, in-process measurement and monitoring, metrology and evaluation of ultra-precision surface, and finishing, lapping and polishing .

This conference was sponsored by the Chinese Production Engineering Institution (CPEI), Japan Society for Precision Engineering (JSPE), and National Natural Science Fund Committee (NSFC), and co-organized by Hunan University (HNU) and National University of Defense Technology (NUDT).

Prof. Li shengyi gives a lecture.

Prof. H. Ohmori from Institute of Physical and Chemical Research (RIKEN) delivers an academic report.
