Secretary of the CPC HNU Committee Jiang Changzhong and President Duan Xianzhong also accompanied the guests during the tour.

Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith toured around Yuelu Academy. He visited Hexi Platform, Lecture Hall, Yushu (imperial) Library, and Confucius Temple, while listening to the introduction to the history and cultural inheritance from the ancient academy to a modern university. He was deeply impressed by HNU’s profound cultural deposits, especially Yuelu Academy, a treasure of Huxiang culture.

Acting Governor Xu briefed on Hunan’s economic and social development, especially the strategy of building Hunan a powerful province in education, science, and culture. He hoped to further expand cultural and educational cooperation between Hunan and Laos for mutual benefits.
