Prof. Tan Weihong Joins JACS as Associate Editor

Prof. Tan Weihong from the State Key Laboratory of Chemo/Biosensing and Chemometrics of Hunan University was recently invited to be an associate editor of the Journal of the American Chemical Society.

The Journal of the American Chemical Society (JACS) is a weekly peer-reviewed scientific journal that was established in 1879 by the American Chemical Society. It published 2,379 papers in 2016 alone, with an impact factor of over 13.

The American Chemical Society (ACS) is a world’s leading academic organization. Its editorial board are active and prestigious scientists whose research always lead the discipline trend.

The JACS invited Prof. Tan for his outstanding research achievements, and also remarkable accomplishments of Hunan University in chemistry and chemical biology. 
 
Prof. Tan Weihong’s profile:
Prof. Tan has engaged in the world’s leading research in bioanalytical chemistry, nano-biotechnology, chemical biology, and biomedical engineering. He is currently Director of the State Key Laboratory of Chemo/Biosensing and Chemometrics of Hunan University, professor of both College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, and College of Biology of the university, and also, distinguished professor and V.T. and Louise Jackson Professor of Chemistry at the University of Florida, and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) and the Academy of Sciences of the Developing World (TWAS). He was listed among the “Highly Cited Researchers” by Thomson Reuters for three consecutive years from 2014. He has worked for ACS Analytical Chemistry, ACS Nano, National Review, Chemical Sciences, and Science China journals, boasting rich editorial experience.
