HNU Listed on QS World University Rankings

Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), a British company specializing in education and study abroad, recently announced the 14th QS World University Rankings. HNU entered the Top 100 alongside Beijing Foreign Studies University, Shanghai International Studies University, China Agricultural University, Chongqing University, and Central South University.

The QS World University Rankings, one of the three most influential rankings worldwide, involved 965 universities throughout the world. Six indicators were mainly taken into account: academic peer review (40%), employer reputation (10%), faculty/student ratio (20%), citations per faculty (20%), international staff ratio (5%), and international student ratio (5%).

There are 63 Chinese universities listed on the rankings, including 39 in Chinese mainland, 7 in Hong Kong, one in Macau, and 16 in Taiwan. All the listed Chinese universities ascended in their rankings.

Founded in 1990, QS has regularly published various university rankings every year. Its QS World University Rankings, Times Higher Education World University Rankings, and the Academic Ranking of World Universities are regarded as the three most influential university rankings in the world.
