6th International Symposium on Domain Theory and its Applications Held in HNU

The 6th International Symposium on Domain Theory and its Applications – ISDT’13 was held in HNU from Oct. 25 to Oct. 29, 2013. It was jointly hosted by Hunan University and Sichuan University, organized by HNU College of Mathematics and Econometrics. Over 100 scholars and experts from America, Britain, Germany, France, Canada, Singapore, Korea, Egypt and China presented at the symposium. 

Prof. Dana Scott, founder of Domain Theory and winner of Turing Award, famous scientist in mathematical logics and computer science, Prof. Glynn Winskel from University of Cambridge and Prof. Achim Jung from University of Birmingham gave a 60-minite lecture respectively which attracted audience greatly. Prof. Klaus Keimel from Technical University of Munich, Prof. Pierre-Louis Curien from the French National Center for Scientific Research and Université Paris Diderot, Prof. Jimmie Lawson from Louisiana State University, Prof. Guo-Qiang Zhang from Case Western Reserve University, and Prof. Michael Mislove from Tulane University were invited to introduce their latest research achievements on Domain Theory and its application. Prof. Li Qingguo and Dr. Guo Lanchen respectively lectured for 40 minutes.  
 
Prof. Guo-Qiang Zhang, vice chairman of the program committee of the symposium, spoke highly of this event at the closing ceremony. It is a high-level international academic event, which contributes to introducing the advanced research on Domain Theory and its application, promoting research standard at home and abroad, probing into the subjects related to Domain Theory, and encouraging the researchers at home and abroad to go further on mathematics and computer science.
