Introduction of Changsha Long Distance Passenger Transport

1. Coach Routes

At present there are already 446 coach routes operated by bus terminals in Changsha, among which there are 138 inter-provincial routes, connecting Changsha with 22 provinces and autonomous regions, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Chongqing, Sichuan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Guangxi, Guangdong, Hainan, Fujian, Jiangxi, Jiangsu, Hubei, Anhui, Zhejiang, Shandong, Shanxi, Henan, Shaanxi, Gansu, Ningxia and Inner Mongolia. Besides the inter-provincial passenger lines, there are 308 provincial inter-city routes, directly accessible to the province's 13 prefectures and cities and its surrounding 88 counties (cities) and densely populated villages and towns, and 305 inter-country routes within Changsha City. So far, it has formed a 3-level (inter-provincial, inter-city and inter-county) passenger transport network system with Changsha being its center. With its help, the running time of coaches from Changsha to any prefecture-level cites is lessened to four and a half hours, with the longest interval of less than 30 minutes.

High-density direct coaches are even available from Changsha to Zhangjiajie, Fenghuang (Phoenix), Nanyue (Mount Hengshan), Shaoshan and other major tourist attractions in Hunan province and weekend travel routes from Changsha to Liuyang Dawei Mountain, Guilin, which can basically meet the traveling needs of tourists in time.

2.Coach Terminals Distribution

Six bus terminals in Changsha, including Eastern Bus Terminal, Southern Bus Terminal, Western Bus Terminal, Northern Bus Terminal, Changzhutan Bus Terminal, Lituo Express Bus Terminal, have been set up and in operation. Within the 6 bus terminals, Changsha Eastern Bus Terminal, Changsha Southern Bus Terminal and Changsha Western Bus Terminal are classified as First Class Bus Terminal and shoulder the task of sending long-distance and middle-distance passenger as major transport hubs for road passenger transport in Changsha.

At present, all bus terminals have adopted computers in ticketing, and you can obtain the information by consulting such methods as the station phones, visiting the website and sending mobile phone text messages.
