Hosted by the Graduate School of Hunan University and the State Key Laboratory of Chemo/Biosensing and Chemometrics (Hunan University), the 2011 National Summer Camp for Outstanding College Students was held in Hunan University from July 15 to 18. 68 students from 22 universities attended the camp.

A series of activities were involved in the 3-day camp. It consists of the introduction of current development of the State Key Laboratory of Chemo/Biosensing and Chemometrics, School of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering as well as School of Biology, special themed report, academic salon, campus and laboratories tour, and visiting former residences of Chairman Mao Zedong and Liu Shaoqi.
