The 2024 China College Student Athletics Cluster Competition (middle-distance race, race walking, and throwing) kicked off in Jinzhou, Liaoning Province on October 19 and 20. HNU's students competed tenaciously against others, winning 2 gold medals and 1 silver medal.
The competition was hosted by the Chinese Student Sports Federation (CSSF) and organized by the athletics division of CSSF. More than 60 colleges and universities participated in the event.
The China College Student Athletics Cluster Competition is an annual national event organized by the Student Sports Federation of the Ministry of Education, aiming to encourage college students to "enjoy the fun of sports, enhance physical fitness, improve personality, and strengthen willpower" through physical exercises.
The winners are:
Lei Chengxin, Grade 2023, Business School – first place in high-level men's 1500m;
Wang Wenxiu, Grade 2021, School of Journalism and Communication – first place in high-level women's 1500m;
Liu Yuanyuan, Grade 2022, Business School – second place in high-level women's javelin throw; and,
Ye Lingkai, Grade 2023, School of Journalism and Communication – fourth place in high-level men's 800m.
