Recently, the International Student Center and the College of Chinese Language and Literature co-organized a traditional Chinese culture experience event themed "Exploring Traditional Chinese Culture, Opening a Diverse New Chapter." Over 50 international students participated.
The event featured four traditional cultural experiencing activities—intangible cultural heritage "Chan Hua (thread wrapped flowers)", filigree enamel, Chinese calligraphy, and Tai Chi. The international students tried their hand at making Chan Hua accessories and filigree enamel works, writing Chinese character "福" (fu, meaning "blessing"), and demonstrating basic Tai Chi skills. They were fully immersed in the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture.
During the cultural exchange meeting, student representatives from countries such as Morocco and Laos shared the festive customs and cultural characteristics of their respective countries, and exchanged their views about diverse civilizations. Some international students performed Tai Chi, earning warm applause from the audience.
