The second China (International) Energy Materials Chemistry Symposium was held in Changsha between June 10 and June 12, 2017. It was hosted by the Chinese Chemical Society, and undertaken by HNU College of Physics and Electronics.
More than 900 international scholars, university students and teachers, and enterprise representatives attended. HNU President Duan Xianzhong, and Vice President Cao Yijia were present.
Discussions were concentrated on battery, and electro-catalysis. Twenty-seven lectures were delivered by well-known Chinese Academy of Science (CAS) academicians, including Bao Xinhe from University of Science and Technology of China, Zhao Dongyuan from Fudan University, Cheng Huiming from the CAS Institute of Metal Research, Zhang Jiujun from Shanghai University. Over 200 oral presentations were given at the panels.
Energy materials experts and scholars from China, USA, Singapore, Australia, UK, Germany, and Hong Kong exchanged views on new energy development. This symposium gives an impetus to HNU’s disciplinary and academic progress in this area, and promotes Hunan’s sound and sustainable development in related sectors.
