Deputy Secretary of the CPC Hunan University Committee Luan Yongyu and Vice President of Hunan University Chen Shou met in the Wenchang Pavilion of Yuelu Academy with a delegation led by President of the Mitsubishi Motors Corp. Osamu Masuko on the morning of Jan. 11.　　

Chen remarked at the meeting that a modern lecture in the thousand-year-old academy is a colliding of modernity and historicity, and is of great importance in expanding the horizon of all the teachers and students.　　

Luan briefed the guests on the general situation, development history and schooling characteristics of Hunan University and expressed his hope that Osamu Masuko's lecture would inspire the students and enhance the cooperation between the university and Mitsubishi Motors Corp. and Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (GAC).

After the meeting, Osamu Masuko delivered an English speech to more than 300 students at the College of Foreign Languages and International Studies on the development and demands of new energy and materials entitled "To Survive and Develop in a Stage of Structural Change".
