The China-Japan Ultraprecision Manufacturing Technology Forum was held in College of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering on November 18, 2017. The Chinese and Japanese researchers discussed development of ultraprecision machining techniques and equipment.

Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) academician and professor of Zhejiang University Tan Jianrong lectured on “intelligent manufacturing and quality control: key technology and development”; the Institute of Physical and Chemical Research (RIKEN) Prof. Oomori Hitoshi lectured on “latest progress of desktop ultraprecision machine tool”; and Japanese Chubu University Prof. Yoshiharu Namba lectured on “ultraprecision polishing on iron single crystal surface”.

Dalian University of Technology Prof. Gao Hang, Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) Prof. Zhao Qingling, Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT) Prof. Yuan Julong, Japanese Iwate University Prof. Nishikawa Naohiro, and Beier Machine Tool Works Co., Ltd . General Manager Wang Bo, made keynote reports.
