The HNU Yuelu International Young Scholar Forum 2017 opened on December 12. More than 160 young scholars from the world’s top level education and research institutions, such as Harvard University, University of Cambridge, and Stanford University, participated in the special reports and academic discussion concerning the state-of-the-art research, and world-class university construction.
The Forum is initiated to promote academic exchange and international talent introduction. It aims to attract worldwide young talents in various disciplines, and build a cutting-edge scientific communication platform oriented to scientific and technological development, interdisciplinary research, and talent resource.
There are 15 sub-forums, including mathematics, information science, biology, and physics. The young scholars from the USA, UK, Germany, Sweden, and Singapore will exchange views on the frontier science and technology development, and also visit HNU campus and laboratories.
Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) academician, and National Research Center for Electrical Energy Transformation and Control Director Luo An, HNU leaders Duan Xianzhong, Chen Wei, Liu Jinshui, and Assistant Presidents Li Shutao and Jiang Jianhui were present.
