The 2019 Forum for Digital Transformation of Enterprises was held at Hunan University, Changsha, on December 15. Government officials, industrial experts, scholars from higher educational institutions, and entrepreneurs discussed the digital transformation way of Chinese enterprises under the background of building a “Digital China”.
The forum was guided by the Hunan Industry and Information Technology Department, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Hunan Provincial People’s Government, and Hunan University (HNU), and organized by HNU Business School, and the Yonyou Network Technology Co., Ltd. It aimed to accelerate management discipline innovation and development in Chinese business schools, promote digital transformation of Chinese enterprises, and better serve Hunan’s local economy and implementation of national digital development strategy.
Cao Huiquan, secretary of the CPC Hunan Industry and Information Technology Department Committee, delivered a speech “Challenges and Reform in Digital Era”. He illustrated the importance of digital transformation of enterprises and gave advice, based on cases of enterprises, Hunan practices, and government and policies.
Peng Jianfeng, professor of Renmin University of China and chairman of the Chinastone Management Consulting Group, lectured on “Transformation and Innovative Growth of Chinese Enterprises in the Digital Era”. Peng mentioned that, in the digital era, enterprises should update their concepts and ways of thinking.
Wang Wenjing, chairman of the Yonyou Network Technology Co., Ltd., spoke on “Digital Economy, Business, and Enterprise Digitalization and Intellectualization”. “In the digital era, Chinese enterprises will take the place in the front ranks of the world in business model, management, and business technology innovations,” he said.
Managers of Chinastone, AIER Eye Hospital Group, Dahan Group, Yonyou, and Hikvision exchanged views with the persons-in-charge of the Hunan Industry and Information Technology Department concerning Chinese enterprise digital strategies and practices.
