The 3rdInternational Forum for Yuelu Media and Culture Development was launched in Changsha on November 4, 2019.
The theme was “Journalism and Communication Education in the Context of Media Convergence”. Four keynote forums and a dean forum were held. More than 100 scholars attended, including those from the journalism-related colleges and schools of over 60 Chinese and foreign universities, including University of Missouri (MU), Simon Fraser University, Waseda University, University of Moscow, University of Notre Dame Australia, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Zhejiang University, Fudan University, Communication University of China, and Hunan University (HNU); scientific and technological research institutions; and, media. They discussed topics of media convergence and artificial intelligence; globalization in the context of media convergence; and, journalism talent cultivation in the context of media convergence.
The event was co-hosted by the HNU School of Journalism and Communication & Film and Television Arts; and Missouri School of Journalism, and organized by the Hunan Journalism and Communication Society. It aimed to facilitate international cultural exchange in media-related academic research and education. The outstanding conference papers will be published in both Chinese and English versions.
