Computing Technology and Automation, a journal founded in 1982, is jointly sponsored by Hunan University, Hunan Computer Society, and the Hunan Institute of Automation. It is also a core journal of Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China. It is published quarterly.

It mainly presents original articles on analyses and design of algorithms, theory and application of automatic control, theoretical computer science, network communication technology, image processing technology, mechanical manufacturing and computer aided drafting (CAD), and computer applications.
