The Theory and Practice of Finance and Economics is a key economics periodical with an emphasis on the theories and practices. Sponsored by Hunan University and under the charge of China's Ministry of Education, it has won the prize of "Top 100 Key Journals" in the National Periodicals Award and the "Top Ten Social Science Journals of Hunan Province". It is also one of the source journals of Chinese Social Science Citation Index Database (CSSCI).

The Theory and Practice of Finance and Economics is a bimonthly journal published on the 25th of every odd month. Each issue contains 160 pages and the periodical is distributed both at home and abroad.The Theory and Practice of Finance and Economics publishes academic papers mainly on theoretical economics, finance and insurance, securities and investment, finance and accounting (including auditing), finance and taxation, economics laws, and so on.
