The 2023 "Huawei Cup" China Graduate AI Innovation Competition released the results recently. HNU student team won one first prize with the score ranking among national top 10 in the finals, one second prize, and four third prizes. HNU was commended with "Outstanding Organizer Award".

Themed "AI empowers and changes the world", the competition is a part of the "China postgraduate innovation and practice" serial contests. HNU team, named "Lushan Nanxia" and led by Prof. Li Zhiyong and Associate Prof. Chen Wenrui, comprised of students from the College of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering and the School of Robotics. Their project focused on the development of an operational system for a precision and intelligent robot hand. The entry presented the interdisciplinary strengths of the team members, and showcased the creative and intelligent capabilities of robots.
