VPN (Virtual Private Network)turns the extranet computers into the terminals connected to the intranet and with the access right to the intranet resources. Via VPN, it is convenient and safe for all the teachers and students who live off campus, on business or go abroad to have access to all authorized resources and application systems of the campus so long as the network service is available. For instance, users can access to the digital resources in the library, utilize the office automation (OA) system to examine and approve documents, log in the academic administration system or human resource administration system to finish all the jobs which users have to proceed on campus previously.
VPN Transaction Procedures:
1. Visit the website of its.hnu.cn and register with the campus e-card.
2. Pay the charges either via the touch screen self-service machine with the campus e-card or at the business hall of Informatization Office after the registration.
3. After connecting to the internet, type https://vpn.hnu.cnin browser and then username and password in the pop-up logging window. Then users can access to the restricted data of the campus after confirmation. (Active control software should be installed according to the instructions for the first login.)
