1. How to use campus e-card to purchase at canteens or supermarkets?
1) Introduction to functions: the campus e-card is like an E-wallet, and can be used at canteens, bathhouses and stores which are authorized by the university and connected to the campus e-card system.
2) Basic operation: first, the staff will enter the charge into the POS machine; second, when the charge is confirmed, the consumer presses the e-card close to the POS machine; then, when the machine tinkles, the charge has been deducted; the e-card can’t be removed until the machine tinkles, or your account will be frozen by the system; last, remove the card and the deal is finished.
3) Usual Problems:
① After the e-card is pressed close to the POS machine, the machine tinkles continually.
This means that the charge hasn't been deducted,please check it as follows: first, ask the workers press the "clear" key and "9" key at the same time on the POS machine; then, the e-card number of the previous transaction, the balance before the consumption, and the charge will be shown on the screen of the machine, which can help you check whether charge has been deducted.
If the charge has not been deducted successively, the consumer is required to press the e-card close to the POS machine again.
② After the e-card is pressed close to the POS machine, the machine has a reaction, but cannot be used for consumption.
In this case, your e-card may have been reported lost or been frozen. And what you need to do is just release the loss or unblock the card. Please see the detailed operating approaches below.
③ After the e-card is pressed close to the POS machine, the machine has no reaction.
This means the e-card has been damaged. Please go to the campus e-card service center to apply for a new card. See the reapplication procedures below.
④ After the e-card is pressed close to the POS machine, "1" or 4 "d"s are shown on the screen.
The sign means that the e-card has been damaged, or it is an illegal card. Please go to the campus e-card service center to apply for a new card. See the reapplication procedures below.
2. How to get through the dormitory or library gate facilitated with access control system by using the campus e-card?
1) Introduction to functions: the campus e-card can serve as an electronic certificate. On the platform of unified identity authentication, all kinds of integrated management information systems of the university can employ electronic identity authentication and you can get through all these access control systems by means of campus e-card.
2) Basic operation: first, press the e-card close to a card reader; after that, the machine will give a tinkle, which means the access control is unblocked.
3) Usual problems:
① After the e-card is pressed close to the card reader, the machine has a reaction, but the door is still closed.
If your campus e-card is reported lost, frozen or is not authorized, the access control will not be lifted. If your e-card is reported lost or is frozen, you can cancel the loss report or unlock the card. Please see the detailed operating methods below. If your card is not authorized, please contact the campus district office (i.e. the Student Affairs Hall on the first floor of Block1, District 2 of Tianma Community).
② After the e-card is pressed close to the card reader, the machine has no reaction.
It means that the e-card has been damaged. Please go to the campus e-card service center to apply for a new card. See the reapplication procedures below.
③ Before the e-card is pressed close to the card reader, the machine beeps continuously or shows three letters "OEM".
It means the card reader doesn't work normally. Please contact the dormitory supervisor.
3. How to top up the campus e-card?
The campus e-card can be topped up with cash at the top up booths at canteens during meal time, or through money transfer machine.
1) Top up with cash: there are six cash top-up booths on campus, including two are situated at the fourth canteen and the fifth canteen respectively in South Campus, one at the canteen in North Campus, one locates on the second floor of the second canteen in Tianma Community, and one at the canteen in Dezhi Garden.
2) Self top up: the money in the bound Great Wall card of Bank of China can be transferred into the campus e-card through campus ATMs. No transaction fees will be charged on the transfer. The operating hours of campus ATMs are from 6:00 to 18:00 Monday to Sunday. The detailed information on self top up will be prompted on the campus ATMs.
4. How to make an inquiry about the individual consumption records?
The following self-service systems can be used to inquire the detailed information of individual consumption and the balance: touch screen, campus ATMs, inquiry hotline (88821376), and the website (http://ecard.hnu.cn)
Notes: when you process such operations as reporting the loss, inquiring the consumption, resetting the password at the self-service terminals, the inquiry is required. The original password is six "8" s or the last six digits of the holder's ID card. If there is an English letter in the last six digits, then the password is the last six digits exclusive of the English letter.
5. What is the "consumption quotas without a password"?
The "consumption quotas without a password" is set by the campus e-card system to enhance its security.
There are three periods of time for campus e-card consumption, which are: 00:00—10:00, 10:00—16:00 and 16:00—24:00. The consumption quota default is 15 RMB in each period, and the password is not required within the quota. If the consumption amount in any period is beyond the quota, a consumption password is required.
Notes: as the inquiry password, the original consumption password is six "8" s or the last six digits of the holder's ID card. If there is an English letter in the last six digits, then the password is the last six digits exclusive of the English letter.
6. How to reset the consumption password and the highest consumption quota?
The consumption password and the highest consumption quota can be reset on self-service equipments (including the website, campus ATMs and touch screen).
7. How to pay the internet fee with the campus e-card?
By means of transferring money through the touch screen, you can pay the internet fee with the campus e-card. For detailed locations of the touch screens, refer to the below information.
8. How to report the loss of campus e-card?
When the campus e-card is lost inadvertently, please report the loss as soon as possible in the following ways in your own interest as well as to prevent other people’s inappropriate access.
1) E-card loss reporting to the staff: go to the campus e-card service center or the Room 206 on the second floor of Comprehensive Building in North Campus.
2) E-card loss reporting on the website: visithttp://ecard.hnu.cnand login, then type in the account number and password and the loss report can be declared online.
3) E-card loss reporting on a touch screen: go to the self-service e-card loss reporting section on a touch screen to proceed the loss report.
9. How to cancel the e-card loss report?
If the lost campus e-card is found later, the holder can cancel the loss report on campus ATMs. Besides, he/she can also go to the campus e-card service center or Room 206 on the second floor of Comprehensive Building in North Campus with the ID card or the student card to cancel the loss report.
10. How to reapply for a new campus e-card?
If the smart card is lost or damaged, please go to the campus e-card service center or Room 206 on the second floor of Comprehensive Building in North Campus with the ID card or the student card for the reapplication. And 20 yuan will be charged for the production cost of a new e-card.
11. Campus E-card procedure required when you finish your study
Before graduation, the departure procedure which contains the return of campus e-card will be conducted by the university collectively.
