World's first high-efficiency DC variable-frequency centrifugal unit made its Hunan debut at the famed and time-honored Hunan University on the afternoon of November 17, attracting hundreds of teachers and students from Hunan University, Central South University and Changsha University of Science and Technology. Experts from its developer organization, Gree Electric Appliances, Inc. in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, elites in Hunan's heating and ventilation field introduced the innovative core technology of air conditioning to the students.
The high-efficiency DC variable-frequency centrifugal unit, certified by leading international standards with 100% independent intellectual property rights, was first presented on December 17, 2011, and is by far the most energy-efficient large scale central air-conditioner. It saves energy by over 40% than the common centrifugal chiller and increases efficiency by more than 65%. Crowned as a green nuclear weapon, the technology is of great significance to China's energy strategy and its energy conservation undertakings in large construction projects.
