On the morning of Dec.18th, top leaders from departments directly under the administration of the province headed by Yu Laishan, executive vice governor of Hunan Province visited the National Supercomputer Center in Hunan University, Changsha. It is now the largest, widest and most influential foundation project for the Information Construction Single Project conducted by Hunan Province. The overall project will be finished in the next February. During his visit, Yu Laishan asked in detail about the construction and stressed that, the center is a key project valued by the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Provincial People’s Government. It is an important infrastructure for Hunan’s science and technology innovation and will be a strong power to promote new-type industrialization, new-type urbanization, agricultural modernization, and informatization as well as the construction of “Two-Oriented” Society.
The related departments directly under the administration of the province and Changsha should create a favorable environment and provide quality services for the project construction and plan it with an international prospect and advanced technology. Relying on talent forces of universities like National University of Defense Technology (NUDT) and Hunan University, etc, we should try our best to build the supercomputer center as a name card of Hunan for its opening up and a symbolic landmark of Changsha.
