Jointly hosted by the Society of Automotive Engineers of China (SAE) and China Petroleum Lubricant Corporation, 2011 Formula Student China (FSC) was held in Shanghai International Circuit recently. After fierce competition with 32 teams from other universities, the racing car HNU-2011 designed and made by the Racing Team of Hunan University won the 75-meter Drag Race. It completed the track in 4.34 seconds, only 0.02 seconds slower than the world-class racing team from Technical University of Munich..
Later the team members from Hunan University summarized the experience and voiced their plans to make great improvements in the manufacture of exceptional racing cars in 2012. At the same time, they have stressed upon the training of racing drivers to improve the car-driver synchronization.
