HNU held the 2024 graduation ceremony at the athletic field on the south campus on the morning of June 16. Graduates and teachers got together, looking back on the past and expecting for a bright future.
HNU leaders Deng Wei, Duan Xianzhong, Cao Shengyuan, Li Shutao, Jiang Jianhui, Wang Weibin, Sun Wei, Li Kenli, Tang Zhenming, and Chen Renpeng attended the ceremony. The leaders present also included: Xu Helian, assistant to HNU president; Li Jiuxue, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC HNU Committee; Zhang Xiaobing, assistant to HNU president; and, Liu Zeliang, deputy director of the HNU Council.
Chen Tongxiang, HNU alumnus who was enrolled in 1979 in mechanics major, participated in the ceremony. She has held the posts of chief structural engineer of spacecraft structure of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), and head of product assurance of Shenzhou manned spaceships and cargo spacecrafts.
Sun Wei, deputy secretary of the CPC HNU Committee, presided over the ceremony.
HNU President Duan Xianzhong urged the graduates to shoulder the responsibility of advancing Chinese modernization.
Representatives of the faculty and counsellors, heads of colleges and schools, and directors of related departments and affiliated units also attended the ceremony.
