The China Industrial Design Education Seminar 2015 & The 11th Global Chinese Industrial Design Conference (GCIDC 2015) commenced at the National Supercomputing Center in Changsha on the morning of Nov. 6. Over 300 domestic and overseas professionals in design and industrial circles were present to discuss about industrial design innovation.

The GCIDC 2015 aims to assemble worldwide Chinese design elites to concentrate on working methods and innovation opportunities for the overall industrial chain of industrial design. Through all-round communication and interaction, it is expected to promote the education, research, practice and industrial development of global innovative design, as well as social innovation.

The GCIDC 2015 was co-sponsored by the Sub-committee of Industrial Design Education in Institution of Higher Learning of the Ministry of Education, and the Industrial Design Education Committee of the China Education Association of Machinery Industry (CEAMI). A series of workshops, lectures and forums were held during the 3-day conference, including Design and Innovation Seminar, paper sharing, and the 2nd “Design Engine” Youth Maker Forum.
