The 13th International Congress on the Chemistry of Cement (ICCC) was held in Madrid from July 3 to 8. It brought together about 900 scholars from 68 countries where 9 keynotes were made and 434 papers exchanged.
At the invitation of the International Scientific Committee (ISC) of the meeting, Shi Caijun, a professor of School of Civil Engineering of Hunan University and a member of National “Program of Global Experts”, delivered a keynote on Classifications and Property of Alkali-activated Cement.
His wonderful speech was well recognized by the scientists presenting at the meeting from all over the world.
As the oldest and top academic conference in the field of cement science, the International Congress on the Chemistry of Cement known as “Olympic” in the field is an international academic event widely attended by the scientists and countries.
The 1st session was held in 1918 in London sexennially. Recently, it was held every 4 years. Each congress invites the most distinguished scholars in different research areas to review the progress so as to give direction to the following researches.
