The Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) 2017 held its international annual meeting in Atlanta of USA between August 16 and 19, 2017. The meeting theme was “Design is Business”.

Dean of HNU School of Design Mr. He Renke (1st R) attended, and delivered a keynote speech at the invitation of the meeting chairman Jeevak Badve. He presented China’s industrial design and education development, as well as opportunities and challenges. He exchanged views with the audience on the topics of innovation and business start-up; integration of production, education, and research; and, new technology and design.
