The National Science and Technology Award Conference was held in Beijing, capital of China, Jan. 10, 2020. A total of 296 projects and 12 scientific and technological experts were commended.

HNU researchers win five second prizes of the national science and technology award.

HNU has eight research achievements awarded, among which HNU took in charge of five and participated in three projects. Among the five projects that HNU took in charge of, two were granted with second prize of thestate natural science award, one with second prize of the state technological invention award, and two with second prize of the state scientific and technological progress award. Among the three projects that HNU participated in, two were granted with first prize, and one with second prize of the state scientific and technological progress award. The awards that HNU won as the first completing unit ranked fourth among Chinese universities, and first in Hunan.

Prof. Huang Shoudao from HNU College of Electrical and Information Engineering wins second prize of the state technological invention award.

Prof. Li Kenli from HNU College of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering wins second prize of the state scientific and technological progress award.
