On July 20, the final of the 8th Cross-strait Campus Singer Invitational Tournament was held in Xiamen, attracting 67 singers from 39 universities across the strait.
The tournament was co-hosted by the All-China Students Federation and the Taiwan Youth Exchange Association, supported by the Xiamen Municipal People’s Government and undertaken by Fujian Students’ Federation and Xiamen Students’ Federation.
Hunan University is Hunan’s only university being invited to the competition. The Art Troupe “Xiangshui (Hunan Water)” performed a distinctive folk song “Rural Women Sing to the Sun”, lighting up the stage with beautiful voice and graceful dance. The three girls of the troupe won the silver medal of Golden Award.
