The Hunan University leg of 2011 BMW “Chasing Joy” activity was launched in Hunan University on June 14, where BMW discussed with college students the balance between automobile power and environmental protection. In addition, BMW and Hunan University have partnered to initiate a contest of green car design, providing an innovation stage for college students to fulfill their dream about sustainable development of future auto industry.

The chasing joy activity was officially launched at about 11:00 A.M. Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer, Southern Regional Director for BMW Brilliance Automotive Company, expressed at the launching ceremony that “BMW not only manufactures perfect cars, but also keeps creating passion and dreams. Innovation and dream are the DNA of BMW, and 'joy' is always at the heart of BMW. I expect students to join us in creating a green future and enjoying the 'joy' of responsibility.”

At 14:00 P.M., Head of the Club Practice Department of the Communist Youth League Committee of Hunan University Xie Zhihui and Mr. Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer lightened JOY of BMW to announce the official start of the green car design contest.
