The preparatory work session for the 10th International Symposium on Environment-behavior Research (EBRA2012), convened by Prof. He Shaoyao, deputy dean of College of Architecture of Hunan University, was held from May 27 to May 29 at this college.
Attendees included president and two vice presidents of EBRA, respectively Prof. Lu Wei from Dalian University of Technology, Prof. Luo Lingling from Grammar School of Northeastern University, and Prof. Zou Guangtian from College of Architecture of Harbin Institute of Technology. Over 20 leading members from EBRA and noted experts in the field of environment-behavior present at the session.
In the session, participants discussed the issues such as debate topics, organization work and arrangements for EBRA2012 which will be held at HNU, and deliberated over the publication of outstanding theses from previous sessions, work and organization development plan for EBRA in the future. During the session, three academic lectures on environment-behavior were held at the lecture hall of College of Architecture on May 27th and 29th, respectively made by Prof. Xu Leiqing, Prof. Li Bin from Architecture & Urban Planning College of Tongji University and Prof. Luo Lingling. The lectures were hosted by Prof. He Shaoyao and three experts elaborated the details of research achievements in the field of environment-behavior and discussed relevant issues with teachers and students.
EBRA is one of the four internationally recognized academic organizations on environment- behavior. The opportunity of holding EBRA 2012 in Hunan University will largely promote the establishment of an all-round platform for academic exchange and the international communication of the university.
