The finals of the RoboCup China Open 2021 was held recently. HNU teams won first prize in the man-machine coordinated attack and defense competition and theall-around competition for humanoid robot, and second prize in the visual competition and the intelligent handling competition for car-like robot.
The four teams of HNU were from the Robot Workshop of the Modern Engineering Training Center, guided by instructors Fang Lu and Chen Haowen. The team members and instructors overcame various difficulties, and organized online instruction and communication and offline practice. They spent their spare time adjusting hardware framework, optimizing code structure, and conducting simulation and debugging.
The RoboCup China Open is hosted by the Chinese Association of Automation. Since 1999, it has been held for 23 sessions. It is one of China’s top robot discipline competitions in influence and technical level, and one of the most influential and authoritative robot technology competitions in China. It is a grand event of robot technology, research, and sci-tech popularization, and has been included in the discipline competition ranking of Chinese colleges and universities.
