The First International Yuelu Forum for Young Scholars was convened at Hunan University (HNU) from August 22 to 23, 2016. Two sub-forums were set respectively for the subject of bioscience, and materials.
Nearly 30 prominent young scholars, from including the U.S.A, the U.K, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong SAR, attended the forum, to discuss about the cutting-edge technology and hot topics of research in the world.
HNU Vice Presidents Liu Jinshui and Han Xu, together with principals of relevant departments, were present at the forum.
Academic reports were given on production of carbon matrix composite and its application in electrochemical energy storage, controllable preparation and interfacial modification of electrode materials in lithium ion battery, and high-performance nanowire luminous diode and laser device. The researchers shared their progress, and exchanged views with the participants on the cutting-edge topics.
College of Materials Science and Engineering and College of Biology, the main organizers of the forum, warmly received the attendees. The attending scholars were invited to visit research platforms and laboratories, and participated in discussions.
