First International Postdoc in HNU Finishes Research

On the morning of November 16th, Dr. Teerawat Sema, the first international postdoctoral scholar in HNU, had his oral defense at the Pilotscale Experiment Base for Carbon Dioxide Capture in the north campus of HNU.

Dr. Teerawat Sema from Thailand had conducted his postdoctoral research in International Center of Carbon Dioxide Capture and Storage (iCCS) of HNU, during which he hosted HNU’s first project supported by the Research Fund for Young International Scientists and published 5 SCI indexed papers as the first author or the corresponding author.

Prof. Xu Weijian took the chair at the oral defense committee, which included Sun Hongwei, Researcher of National Natural Science Fund Committee, Prof. Li Xuehui from South China University of Technology, Prof. Liu Younian from Central South University, Prof. Zhu Mingqiang from Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics (WNLO), Prof. Tang Kewen from Hunan Institute of Science and Technology, Prof. Liang Zhiwu from Hunan University, Dr. Raphael Idem from University of Regina in Canada and Mr. Wilfredrobert Olson, a senior engineer from Clean Energy Department of Saskapower company in Canada.

After reviewing Dr. Sema’s research report and listening to his oral defense carefully, the experts praised his research achievements and gave comments and suggestions.
