Grace Hsia (Xia Mengyi) promotes her work.

On the evening of June 14, the exchange meeting for a public benefit show of A Bohemian in China, an original music documentary filmed by Grace Hsia (Xia Mengyi), a girl studying at Hunan University, was held at No. 9 Comprehensive Building of Hunan University. This documentary will be sent to France in July, to participate in the exhibition show of the 2014 Paris Youth Short Film Festival.

The documentary tells the story of a Swiss artist Marty, who lived in a discarded house at the foot of Yuelu Mountain and learned various folk arts by traveling around China for 17 years. Though living in city, Marty has always pursued a kind of pure life. For the "big field" he has dreamed of, he moved to a village of Tongdao Dong Autonomous County and taught music to stay-at-home children.

According to Grace Hsia, besides telling the story, the documentary introduces a lot of folk intangible cultural heritage of China. She thought these Chinese elements might be one of the factors that attracted the judges of the Paris Youth Short Film Festival.
