William James Qualls, a Professor from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and a distinguished expert of the “National One Thousand Foreign Experts Project” of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, delivered a lecture in the afternoon of Jan. 7th at the lecture hall in Business School of Hunan University (HNU).
Professor William said in his lecture that it is his third time to the Business School since he first came here to celebrate its Centennial Anniversary in 2011. Every time he comes, he is impressed by the rapid development of the School. Professor William introduced his teaching and academic research, especially his plans on teaching, research in the upcoming few years, including running courses for undergraduates, instructing postgraduates, organizing academic research team, convening international conferences and setting up a 3D printing laboratory. With great efforts, Professor William hopes to enhance the academic research and international cooperation of the School to a higher level.
As a top scholar in marketing and innovation, Professor William has been honored as tenured Professor by many celebrated universities, such as Michigan State University (MSU), Sloan School of Management of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). He was also hired as editorial board member and reviewer of several world prestigious journals. Up to now, 5 foreign management experts have been introduced through the National One Thousand Outstanding Foreign Experts Project. With Professor William’s joining, Business School of Hunan University is expected to rapidly develop its teaching, academic research and international cooperation.
