The delegation led by Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi recently visited the Yuelu Academy to experience Hunan culture, accompanied by Mei Kebao, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, Liu Keli, party secretary of Hunan University, and Chen Shou, vice president of the university.　　

The delegation visited such scenic spots as Hexi Tower, Lecture Hall, Yushu Building, and Confucius Temple in the academy, and listened to the brief introduction about the history and cultural reforms of the academy. Deeply impressed with its long history and profound culture, Yang spoke highly of the academy and saw it as treasure of Hunan culture.

In the Lecture Hall, Liu, on behalf of Hunan University, presented regulations of the academy to Minister Yang.
