Torch relay for the 26th Summer Universiade was held in Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center (HEMC) at 9:30 a.m, May 17th. 100 torchbearers including 52 college students took part in this torch relay.

The torch relay in HEMC is the last stop of the 26th Summer Universiade. Starting from Sun Yat-Sen University, this torch relay made an 8 km trip across Guangdong University of Foreign Studies along Outer Ring East Road, and returned to Sun Yat-Sen University through Zhonghuan East Road.

Liang Sijie from Hunan University was particularly eye-catching among all the torchbearers. As the usher for Sheikh Ahmad Fahad Al-Sabah, OCA (Olympic Council of Asia) President, in the closing ceremony of the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games, she was honored as “the most beautiful usher” due to her outstanding performance. Liang said that she will make great efforts to deliver passion and fashion of Universiade to the whole world.
