The 2017 “Chuangze Information Cup” China Robot Competition was held in Shandong on August 16 and 17. Seven HNU teams, led by Modern Engineering Training Center teachers Chen Haowen and Fang Lu, competed in robot athletics, transport, and martial contest events. They won two first prizes, one second prize, and four third prizes, the best results of HNU in such competition.

The China Robot Competition is an annual event since 1999. It is the highest level and largest robot competition in China. This year, it had 3,000 contestants in 1,055 teams coming from 210 Chinese universities.

The HNU Modern Engineering Training Center Robot Workshop was founded in July 2016. It provides a high level innovation and practice platform for all HNU undergraduate students who are interested in robot design and production.
