
The 8th Formula Student China series contests, including Formula Student China (FSC), Formula Student Electric China (FSEC), and Formula Student Autonomous China (FSAC), concluded in Xiangyang of Hubei Province on November 17, 2017.
The HUR (Hunan University Racing) team, formerly HNU’s FSAE team, won the championship of gasoline-powered vehicle group, with a total score of 860.09. It will, on behalf of China, attend the 2018 Formula Student Germany (FSG).

In this 7-day contest, there were 78 gasoline-powered vehicle teams, 43 electric vehicle teams, and 7 autonomous vehicle teams.


The HUR team won second prize of design report award; third prize of cost report award; first prize of ANSYS simulation design award; and, second prize of Honda award.

Background information:
The HUR (Hunan University Racing) team, formerly HNU’s FSAE team, was founded in 2006. It is China’s first college student formula racing team. So far, it has developed ten generations of racing cars, and attended the international college student formula racing in U.S.A in 2007 and 2008. In 2014 Formula Student China, the HUR team won all the 12 prizes, including a grand champion. In 2015, it attended the Formula Student Germany in Hockenheim. In 2016, it was the runner-up in the Formula Student China.
