The teaching case "BOSCH AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCT (CHANGSHA): LEVERAGING CULTURE FOR DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION" was recently registered with Ivey Publishing of the Richard Ivey School of Business in Canada, a leader in publishing business cases studies globally.
The case was jointly compiled by Zeng Wei, associate professor of HNU Business School and deputy director of the Professional Graduate Education Management Center, together with graduate student Ni Shuang, EMBA student Deng Ning, and MBA alumnus Li Zhaofang.
Bosch Changsha is an auto parts manufacturer. Driven by the trend of digitalization, in 2020, Bosch Changsha began leveraging digital culture to push transformation and empowering business development through establishing a talent cultivation system. It aimed to achieve digitalized delivery of products, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
From the perspective of corporate culture, this case analyzes how a manufacturing enterprise boosts talent cultivation and development via digitalization, activates and fosters transformation impetus and ability of existing faculties, and boosts systematic organizational reforms based on corporate cultural reform.
Peng Chunyan, an associate professor at the University of Missouri, and Su Ning, a professor at the Ivey Business School also contributed to the compilation of the case.
In recent years, HNU Business School has encouraged its teachers to engage in case study alongside their regular teaching responsibilities. Up to now, the school has successfully registered two cases with Harvard Business Publishing, a leading international business case library. Three cases have been registered with Ivey Publishing, which have been published globally. In addition, 25 cases have been evaluated as 100 excellent management cases in China; 80 cases have been selected into the case database of the China Management Case Sharing Center; 8 cases have been registered with the business administration international case database of China; 12 courses have been shortlisted for the national quality course on management case teaching; and, two teachers have been honored as the national excellent management case teachers.
