2019 IEEE HPCC/SmartCity/DSS Held in HNU

The IEEE HPCC/SmartCity/DSS 2019 – 21stIEEE International Conference on High Performance Computing and Communications (HPCC-2019) & the 17thIEEE International Conference on Smart City (SmartCity-2019) & the 5thIEEE International Conference on Data Science and Systems (DSS-2019), was held between August 10 and 12, 2019. The conference was organized by the Overseas Expertise Introduction Center for “High Performance Computing” Discipline Innovation of the HNU College of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering.

Liao Xiangke, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and professor of National University of Defense Technology (NUDT), and Li Keqin, distinguished professor of HNU, as well as nearly 400 scientists and researchers participated. Nine foreign experts, such as president of the Royal Society of Canada and ACM/IEEE fellows, gave keynote reports. A forum on high-performance computing and smart city, and 30 panel discussions were held.

Prof. Steering Chair Laurence T. Yang, HPCC General Chair Prof. Ahmed Louri, and Prof. Li Kenli, dean of the HNU College of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, delivered speeches.

Dr. M. Jamal Deen, president of Academy of Science, Royal Society of Canada, and distinguished professor of the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering of McMaster University, made an academic report, and answered audiences’questions.

Five experts talked about the smart city’s cutting-edge development trend and influences on people’s daily life at the high-performance computing and smart city forum.
