
The International Master Program of Industrial Engineering for Developing Countries, supported by the Ministry of Commerce, was launched at HNU College of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering on Sept. 21, 2016. From then on, 21 trainees from ten developing countries in Asia, Africa, and Oceania would engage in their study on mechanical engineering and related industry. HNU Vice President Cao Yijia attended the launching ceremony.
This is the second foreign-aid training program in Hunan University, supported by the Ministry of Commerce, following the first one in 2015.
The program aims to foster professionals on industrial planning and enterprise management for developing countries, to improve governance and business management of such countries, so as to prepare them for the challenges of industrial upgrading, employment advancement, and resource utilization in the process of globalization, and give a boost to their sound and sustainable development.
Trainees will have coursework, visiting tours to enterprises, and cultural activities during their study.
