The FSAE racing team of Hunan University (HNU) held a ceremony at Yifu Building on Sept. 24, to mark its 10th anniversary of founding, and the debut of 2016 new car.

The HNU FSAE racing team, founded in 2006, is the first college student formula racing team in Chinese mainland. It was supported by Hunan University and relevant sponsors. Over the past ten years, the team has independently developed nine generations of racing cars. It participated in the student formula racing in the USA in 2007 and 2008.
Since 2010, the FSAE team has playing an active role in the Formula Student China (FSC). In 2014, it won the 5th FSC champion with a grand slam in all dynamic racing events, namely, linear acceleration, high-speed obstacle avoidance, figure-8 racing, and endurance racing. As the only Chinese team in fuel group racing, it ranked the 16th in total score at the Formula Student Germany (FSG) in 2015, which was the best result of Asian teams.


Feng Peiji, team member in 2007 and 2008 competition seasons, Wang Ping and Yin Yifan, members in 2010 to 2012 seasons, Cao Yu, team captain in 2015 competition season, and Chai Tian, the first team captain of FSAE and now instructor of the team, were present and shared their racing stories with the audiences.
