The exhibitions showing the history of Yuelu Academy, and Hunan Institute of Finance and Economics which is today north campus of Hunan University, respectively opened on Sept. 30.

The exhibition of Yuelu Academy history was located at Banxue Zhai in the academy.

The 550-sqm exhibition hall displayed pictures, files, cultural relics, and videos in chronological order, namely, famous cultural mountain, Yuelu Academy in the North Song Dynasty, South Song Dynasty, Yuan and Ming dynasties, and Qing Dynasty, and Hunan University. Concentrating on Yuelu Academy’s development, the exhibition integrates history, culture, education progress and talents in the years since the founding of Yuelu Academy and naming of Hunan University.

The exhibition of Hunan Institute of Finance and Economics was located at the first floor of the library in north campus.

In addition to preface and closing, four exhibition rooms were arranged in chronological order, namely, founding (1960-1966), progress in adversity (1966-1978), renaming and restarting (1979-1990), and leaping development (1991-2000). Pictures and articles, as well as models, multimedia and touch screens were adopted to show the history of the institute.
