China’s first State Engineering Laboratory on Robot Vision Perception and Control Technology, also the fourth state robot research base, was established in Hunan University (HNU) on March 27, 2016.

Wang Yaonan, dean of College of Electrical and Information Engineering, HNU, is designated as Lab director.

Priority will be put on key technology and facility R&D in such fields as: intelligent industrial robot’s automatic acquisition and intelligent interpretation of scene object vision information, robot vision guide and high-speed motion control, high-speed and high-precision motor drive and servo control, and nimble working machine digital design.

The Lab will support and facilitate China’s robot industry innovation and improve its core competiveness. It will also serve enterprises, and science and technology administrations, based on intelligent industrial robot related technical consulting, market analysis, project evaluation, and decision support.
