
Hunan University Eagle Racing Team was crowned in fuel group in the 9th China Honda Energy-Saving Competition during Oct. 24 to 25 in Guangdong, with its fuel consumption being 1208.47 km/L. HNU’s No.2 Eagle Racing Team ranked fourth in the competition. In the EV (electric vehicle) group competition, HNU’S Eagle EV Team ranked fourth, driving 22,210m with the designated power supply.

The China Honda Energy-saving Competition was firstly launched in 2007 to challenge the minimum of energy consumption in designated race course in the set time. HNU sent a 28-member team with 2 fuel racing vehicles and 1 EV vehicle, to compete with 74 university teams and 23 enterprises teams and have technical exchanges with the competitors.
After this competition, the Eagle Racing Team will concentrate in the preparation for the 2016 Shell Eco-Marathon in the Philippines next year.
