According to the recently released Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Asian University Rankings 2015, Hunan University (HNU) was ranked within the interval between 151st -160th, a rise of 20 rankings over the previous year.

110 Chinese universities were listed among the top 300 Asian universities, while 25 Chinese mainland universities entered the top 100 including Tsinghua University, Fudan University, University of Science and Technology of China, Shanghai Jiaotong University, and Beijing Normal University.

QS World University Rankings is recognized as one of the most influential university rankings, which has released independent regional rankings since 2009. This year’s Asian university ranking is based on nine evaluation criterions including academic prestige, public praise of the faculty, staff-student ratio, average number of teachers’ papers and paper quotation.
